Founded in 2011 by Licensed Professional Counselor Tara Beall-Gomes, Main Street Counseling, LLC was created with a simple but powerful vision: to offer a welcoming, secure, and growth-oriented environment where individuals and families feel truly seen, supported, and empowered. What began as one counselor’s dream has evolved into a thriving, collaborative practice built on compassion, authenticity, and connection.

As both a parent and a clinician, Tara understands the real-world challenges of balancing family, healing, and personal growth. That understanding continues to shape the heart of Main Street Counseling today. Under her leadership, the practice has grown into a team of dedicated professionals who share the same mission and values that inspired its founding. Tara remains deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, ensuring that the team stays centered on the vision she originally set to provide inclusive, high-quality care that meets people where they are.

In 2024, Tara expanded her clinical work through Grit and Grace Recovery, LLC  a sister practice focused on Betrayal Trauma, Sex and Porn Addiction, and relational healing. While her personal caseload now runs through Grit & Grace, she continues to guide Main Street Counseling’s growth and evolution, nurturing a culture of excellence, warmth, and innovation. Together, both practices reflect her ongoing commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families heal, connect, and thrive.
