Specialties & Unique Approach

Her therapeutic approach involves delving into the intricacies of one’s emotional state, fostering constructive patterns, and providing a secure, therapeutic environment.

Tara’s ultimate goal is to help you achieve optimal mental health, reduce life’s burdens, and enhance your daily life functioning so you can be your best self both mentally and physically.

As humans, we are wired for connection so Tara works to make your interpersonal connections meaningful to YOU.

What sets Tara apart as a Therapist

Tara’s career in the mental health field has included over twenty years of working with a diverse range of individuals navigating life transitions, such as those in high school or post secondary, racial trauma, institutional trauma, ADD/ADHD, anxiety disorders, developmental delays, depression, grief and loss, social thinking, and life transitions.

Notably, Tara brings a wealth of experience from her tenure as a certified school counselor, actively employed in the public school system from 2003 to 2018.

Her background enables her to provide a unique level of support to children and their families.

Tara loves bringing friends and family to the Naval Submarine Base in New London and watching her husband light up when he is with his “natural element”.  That element has shifted some since 2018, but the military connection will always be there. You will now find the two of them with their six children on the field or court coaching youth sports, watching one of their youngest on the stage or volunteering in the community.  On a good day, you will Tara working in the yard, (or hiding in the greenhouse), Tara’s “natural element”.
